3 accused of selling counterfeit Nikes, Gucci

FORT MYERS, FL -

Three people were arrested Monday for allegedly selling counterfeit Nike shoes out of the Palm Avenue Grocery in Fort Myers, according to the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.

According to the arrest report, on Monday, a special agent with the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco went into the grocery on Palm Avenue and purchased two pairs of Nike shoes.

Those shoes were confirmed counterfeit through a representative of the Nike Corporation, reports said.

Agents served a search warrant on the business after the purchase and found counterfeit Nike shoes, counterfeit Gucci sweatshirts and counterfeit Polo Ralph Lauren collared shirts, reports said.

The value of the counterfeit merchandise was estimated to be $18,310.

Hasan Abdelkareem Hasan was arrested and charged with 5 counts of offering counterfeit goods for sell and 2 counts of offering to sell counterfeit goods $2,500 and less than $20,000.

Hassan Mouhmed Abukhdeir was charged with 2 counts of offering to sell counterfeit goods $2,500 and less than $20,000.

Harbieh Abukhdeir was charged with 2 counts of offering to sell counterfeit goods $2,500 and less than $20,000.
